Chemical peels are one of the fastest ways to improve texture, breakouts, discoloration, and early signs of aging. The difference is how your skin feels during the process and how you look while healing. Linder Health peels are formulated as targeted acid blends plus specialty ingredients, designed to deliver visible results with minimal discomfort and minimal social downtime.

At Amoura Skin and Body in Tanasbourne Beaverton, we use these peels as corrective treatments that still respect the skin barrier, so you can get glow and clarity without feeling stripped.

If you want clearer pores, smoother texture, and brighter tone with low downtime, we will match you to the right peel and build a plan that works with your lifestyle.

WHAT MAKES THESE PEELS DIFFERENT

pH precision and controlled resurfacing

Linder Health discusses formulating within a pH range around 3 to 3.5 to optimize exfoliation while staying within a skin mindful “sweet spot.”

Low downtime is the goal

Many clients experience little to no visible shedding, or very light, microscopic flaking

DOWNTIME AND WHAT TO EXPECT

During your appointment

• Cleanse and prep, then the peel is applied in controlled layers

• You may feel warmth, mild tingling, or a light prickly sensation

• We finish with calming, hydrating support based on your skin that day

The first 24 to 72 hours

• Skin often looks glowy, tighter, and smoother

• Some clients feel dryness or mild sensitivity

• Makeup is usually fine the next day if your skin feels calm, but we often recommend letting skin breathe for best results

Days 3 to 7

• You might see light shedding around the mouth, nose, or chin

• Many clients have minimal visible peeling, sometimes only microscopic flaking

• Texture and clarity continue improving as the skin turns over

When you see results

• Glow can be immediate

• Tone and pigment usually improve over a series

• Texture and breakouts improve progressively with consistent treatments and home care

WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE

Linder Health peels are great if you are dealing with• acne and congestion• uneven tone and post breakout marks• melasma prone discoloration support as part of a full plan• dullness and rough texture• fine lines and early laxity concerns

We adjust your peel plan if you are• very sensitized or recently over exfoliated• using strong prescription topicals• pregnant or breastfeeding, depending on the peel and your provider guidance• prone to cold sores, depending on area treated

INGREDIENTS AND WHAT THEY DO

Mandelic acid: gentle alpha hydroxy acid, great for uneven tone and acne prone skin

Lactic acid: exfoliates while supporting hydration and barrier comfort

Glycolic acid: stronger resurfacing support for texture and brightness

Salicylic acid: oil soluble exfoliant that helps clear pores and congestion

Tranexamic acid: supports the look of discoloration and uneven tone, often used in pigment focused protocols

Hexylresorcinol: brightening support and tone refinement, included in Hero and Spot Less

Ethyl linoleic acid: sebum balancing support, included in Spot Less

Glycerin: humectant that supports barrier comfort, featured in Polite

WHAT WE CAN PAIR IT WITH AT AMOURA

Pairing is where peel results get even better, but timing matters. Here is how we typically build smart combinations.

Same day pairings that are usually peel friendly

• LED red light for calming support

• CO2 Lift Pro mask for hydration and visible redness support

• Glacial cooling style finishing steps for inflammation comfort

• Lymphatic facial massage if your skin is not feeling reactive

• Barrier focused serums and recovery masks

The most common peel plans we build

Acne and congestion plan: Spot Less in a series, with supportive extraction strategy when appropriate, plus home care that reduces pore blockage

Pigment and glow plan: Hero or Polite depending on sensitivity, often paired with calming finishes and pigment safe home care

Barrier reset plan: Polite as the entry point, then step up to Hero when the barrier is strong

PREP & AFTERCARE RULES THAT PROTECT YOUR RESULTS

Before your peel

• Pause exfoliating acids and retinoids for several days, depending on strength and frequency

• Avoid sun and self tanner on the area

• Tell us about recent waxing, laser, or any new irritation

After your peel

• Keep it simple: gentle cleanse, hydrate, protect

• No scrubs, no acids, no retinoids until we clear you

• SPF daily is non negotiable for pigment prevention and long term results

• Avoid intense heat, steam, and heavy sweating for at least 24 to 48 hours

FAQ:

Will I peel?

Some clients do not visibly peel. Others get light flaking in targeted areas. Many describe it as minimal or microscopic.

How many treatments do I need?

Most corrective goals respond best to a series. We will map out a cadence based on your skin and your calendar.

Which peel is best for sensitive skin?

Polite is commonly positioned for sensitive, hypersensitive, or compromised skin based on its glycerin forward, barrier supportive formula.
